Janet and David along with their young daughter and Janet’s mum, have found the ideal house within which all 3 generations are able to live together. Our remit is to re-plan the interior to provide both a family home, and within this, a separate suite for Janet’s mum: ‘Two homes in one!’
The works are currently in progress, and the remodelling also includes the removal of a number of additions and extensions which were out of keeping with the character of the existing property, and replacing these with new additions that are constructed to match and blend in with the existing construction of the main house.
The resulting family home will have generous living accommodation on the ground floor for everyday use, and family get-togethers, and Janet’s mum’s suite to the first floor, comprises of a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom, is available for her private space and quieter moments.
As flexible floor plans, these arrangements can serve a number of alternative uses such as accommodating older children who are still at home for a number of reasons, a guest suite or simply as additional bedrooms in the context of a family home. Janet and David add….
